Post-concert talk with Deborah Bradley-Kramer of SPEAKmusic & Ellen Mausner Weinberg, granddaughter of Jacob Weinberg

The Daedalus Quartet and SPEAKmusic celebrate Jewish folk music and the music of Russian Jewish composers of the early 1900s. Through the Society for Jewish Folk Music, these daring artists, whose members included composers Achron, Krein and Weinberg, schooled in Russian classical music, melded tradition and modernity to give Russian Jewish folk music a more contemporary sheen. Amongst these composers will be presented new works inspired by this era from composers Chason Goldschmitz and Yair Klartag.
